A winter boot campaign for those experiencing homelessness is about to get underway.

The Compassionate Committee for the Homeless in North Bay will be collecting essential items and donations to ensure people experiencing homelessness survive the cold winter months.

They’ll be accepting new thermal socks, hats, mitts, and scarves on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 10 am until 2 pm at the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption garages.

Residents can also sponsor a pair of winter boots, with a financial contribution.

The committee will then purchase the right sized boots needed and deliver them to frontline organizations.
