Concerned motorist call results in impaired charges
By Richard Coffin
Ontario Provincial Police continue to urge the public to call police when they see a possible impaired driver.
This after Nipissing West OPP arrested and charged a driver with multiple offences after receiving a call from a concerned motorist last Friday afternoon on Highway 17 in West Nipissing.
A bottle of open liquor was also seized.
A 33-year-old Gravenhurst resident faces several charges including impaired driving, failing to have insurance, possessing a licence while prohibited and more.
The accused was released with a Feb. 6 court appearance in North Bay.
Along with a 90-day licence suspension, the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
