We’re learning more about some of the events the city has planned for its year-long centennial celebration in 2025.

The party starts with the annual Families First New Year’s Eve Celebration at Memorial Gardens, the YMCA and Thomson Park.

There are free public skating days in each of the first four months of the year with the city officially marking its 100th anniversary in April.

Centennial concert & drone shows are lined up from June through September at the waterfront.

A Mayor’s Picnic is also planned, with live music, activities and food vendors.

There will also be a time capsule sealing ceremony and a 100th anniversary celebration of sport.

Officials will recognize 10 of the top male and 10 of the top female athletes, 20 builders, and up to 10 teams.

Exact dates haven’t been announced yet for most events, but the growing list can be found on the city’s website: northbay.ca/centennialevents
