Couple involved in Stabbing of Neighbour
The North Bay Police Service (NBPS) responded to a residence in the area of High Street and Galt Street after a dispute between neighbours escalated into a physical altercation. One person was stabbed during the altercation.
At approximately 8 p.m., NBPS responded to the residence following a dispute between neighbours that had reportedly been ongoing for several months. The dispute escalated from a verbal disagreement to a physical altercation, during which a knife was brandished and one person was stabbed.
One person was transported to hospital for treatment.
The accused, Robert DOLBECK, 56-year-old, male, of North Bay, has been charged with:
- Criminal Harassment
- Assault with a Weapon
- Assault Causing Bodily Harm
- Assault Causing Bodily Harm – Choke, Suffocate or Strangle
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
The co-accused, Tammy DOLBECK, 53-year-old, female, of North Bay, has been charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon
- Assault Causing Bodily Harm
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
“When a disagreement turns physical, there is a real risk that someone can be seriously hurt. Our Patrol Section officers responded quickly, brought the incident under control and began the investigation,” said A/Deputy Jeff Warner. “If you’re dealing with a problem that makes you feel unsafe, contact us and report what’s happening.”
The accused was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing. The co-accused was released on an Undertaking with a future court date.
