CWL Christmas Bazaar & Tea supporting several groups

Over $9,000 is going to several area charities after a recent Christmas Bazaar & Tea at the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption.   

The annual event is hosted by Catholic Women’s League of Canada.  

Groups benefiting include school breakfast programs, Meals on Wheels, the North Bay Food Bank Catholic Charities, the Gathering Place, and the Compassionate Committee for the Homeless in North Bay. 

“Our volunteers created a very warm and welcoming atmosphere, and I am blessed to be surrounded by a team of experienced, dedicated and hard-working women whose efforts produced another successful Christmas Bazaar,” says Leah Pierce, convener. “The support of the church community never fails to bring hope to those who need it the most in North Bay.” 

This year’s theme was ‘Winter Wonderland’ with a variety of wintery decorations available.
