Borrowed Sisters

Long time family friend Laura Beaton

Best friend Ann Mclaughlin (predeceased)

Aquatics attracted Debbie all her life, she volunteered as an assistant instructor at the YMCA, then went to Western University where she obtained a degree in Physical Education and Geography. She then obtained a Bachelor Of Education at Nippissing. For a short time she did some supply teaching. Eventually aquatics drew her back to the YMCA and she became a qualified guard, instructor, supervisor and synchronize coach. Next Debbie went to work for C.F.B North Bay where she was an aquatics programmer. Those blessed to know Debbie will remember her passion, and drive to teach many children, as well as adults to be the best swimmers they can be. Debbie is fondly remembered by many of her students. Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories.

Debbie and her sister also owned Rage Fashions.

In her spare time Debbie was an avid reader, would sit out on the veranda where chickadees would land on her shoulders and books, until she decided that they needed a new feeder.

Debbie began having health problems in 2009. On Debbie's behalf an extended special thank you to the many Doctors who helped Debbie in North Bay and Sudbury Hospitals.

Debbie will be sadly missed but never forgotten. You were a loving daughter, a terrific sister, and a great friend. So spread your wings and soar high with all the angels until we meet again.

In loving memory of my dear daughter/sister Debbie Boucher

“We thought of you with love today,

But that is nothing new.

We thought about you yesterday,

And the day before that too.

We think of you in silence,

We often speak your name.

Now all we have is memories,

And your picture in a frame.

Your memory is our keepsake,

With which we’ll never part.

God has you in his keeping

We have you in our hearts”

As per Debbie's wishes cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held in the spring. If desired donations to the Heart & Stroke foundation or the Health Science North Cardiac Foundation would be greatly acknowledged by her family.
