DENIS THIBEAULT

DENIS THIBEAULT

Denis Thibeault was a man of courage, and it is with deep sorrow that he unexpectedly departed on Wednesday Dec 17th 2025 at the North Bay Regional Hospital just four (4) days short of his 75th birthday which he was looking forward to.

He was the beloved husband of Nancy White-Thibeault, loving father of Shannon, Brad (Laynee), Shelly, and David (Jenna).  Denis was the dear brother of Len (Ellen), Orville (Alice), Richard (Susan), and Mike. Brother-in-law to Cathy and Brian Coughlin, Connie, Noella, Marnie and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He had 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Cecile Thibeault, father & mother-in-law Robert and Lois White. In addition, he was also preceded in death by his brothers Simon, Raymond, Henri, Bill, Norm and sister Paulette, and brother-in-law Robert White

Denis was known for his great smile, humor, and love of Chinese food, listening to stories, country music, watching his favourite episodes NCIS and The Voice and gatherings with family and friends.  Always willing to offer a helping hand to those in need.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Following a career as a short haul truck driver, Denis enjoyed his retirement years fishing, camping and playing darts, bowling and cards with family and friends, attending classic antique car shows, going to the Waterfront Concerts enjoying his Tim Horton Coffee, and being with loved ones. He was blessed with a loving family, cherished daughters and sons, and incredible friends. Times will be missed with his granddaughter Jodi Orton in which he had a special bond.

We wish to express our thanks to the compassionate ER & CCU nurses, the caring paramedics especially Nick Orton in North Bay, and to the Hillside Funeral Services.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held by his family and friends on February 7th 2025 at The Shriners Club (Brooke St.) from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. We invite all who knew and loved Denis to join us in honoring his memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to “All Heart Pet Rescue” or “Lung Health Foundation”.  All donations can be made online or at Hillside Funeral Services.

Denis lived a simple life with kindness, generosity with a handshake, hug and a smile for everyone he met along the way. He will be remembered for his loyalty and the good person he was to all.  We will miss you Denis.
