Dog Rescued from Under King’s Landing Dock

A dog in distress was located by officers and was rescued with the assistance of the North Bay Fire and Emergency Services on Wednesday afternoon at the King’s Landing dock.
Officers from the North Bay Police Service were dispatched to assist with locating a dog that was in distress in the area of the King’s Landing Dock, around 1:20 pm on Wednesday April 23rd.
A witness met officers at the location and advised he could hear a dog barking and whining from an area under the dock. Officers located the dog but were unable to reach it due to the ice conditions on the lake.
The North Bay Fire and Emergency Services were called to assist, and Firefighters were able to rescue the dog with the use of a long pole attached to a dog collaring pole. The dog appeared to be in good health and was then transported to the Humane Society by a North Bay Police Service Officer.
