Downtown assault has police looking for suspect

The North Bay Police Service is looking to the public for help in identifying a suspect after an assault downtown.

Police say just before 4 pm on Monday, officers were called to the TD Bank parking lot on Main Street East after a victim suffered serious injuries, believed to be from a strike to the back of the head with a weapon.

The victim was then taken to hospital.

Investigators are asking anyone with dash cam or CCTV footage from the area around the time of the incident to contact the NBPS non-emergency line at 705-472-1234.
