Temperatures are forecast to fall Rapidly

A dramatic change in temperatures will occur this afternoon with the passage of a sharp cold front.

Temperatures will go from well above freezing to below freezing within a few hours beginning near noon. During the transition from rain to snow, some areas may see a brief period of freezing rain and ice pellets. In addition, snowfall amounts up to 5 cm are expected by this evening.

Sudden icy conditions on roads and walkways and a brief period of freezing rain could be hazardous. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.

Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
