Drugs Seized in Street Crime Investigation
During a two-month-long investigation, the Street Crime Unit of the North Bay Police Service, gathered intelligence in relation to a North Bay man, who was dealing drugs from a residence on Cassells Street. On April 16th, officers obtained a search warrant for the residence, and at around 5:00 pm observed the accused leaving the residence in a vehicle. He was arrested a short time later and transported to police headquarters where he was searched and processed.
A 53-year-old North Bay man was arrested, and more than $15,000 in drugs were seized Tuesday after an investigation by the North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime Unit.
The Accused in this incident is:
James Daniel CAMERON, age 53, of North Bay, who is charged with:
· One count of Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
· Six counts of Possession of a Scheduled 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
· One count of Possession of a Scheduled 3 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
The search warrant was later executed at the Cassells Street residence.
The following was seized during police searches:
· $1,175 in Canadian Currency
· 84.3 grams of Psilocybin mushrooms
· 395 Methamphetamine pills
· 85.5 Percocet pills
· 13 Oxycodone 20 mg pills
· 14 Oxycodone 40 mg pills
· 27 Oxycodone 60 mg pills
· 7 Codeine pills
· 155.2 grams of Crystal Meth
· 7 Hydromorphone 100 mg pills
· 17 Hydromorphone 3 mg pills
· 32.9 grams of Cocaine
· 1.3 grams of Crack Cocaine
The total street value of the drugs and cash seized during this investigation was approximately $16,900.
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
