Born on December 13, 1932, to Steve Marmino and Mary (Felice) Marmino, Theresa was a lifelong resident of North Bay.

She is lovingly remembered by her five children, David, Steven, Michael (Dawn Marie), Bryan (Jackie), and Mary Beth. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, James (Meghan) and Marie.

Theresa is also survived by her sisters, Estelle Scappatura (Frank, predeceased) and Diane Falcioni-Ricci (Richard Falcioni and Ben Ricci, both predeceased), as well as her sister-in-law, Cathy Marmino (Jim Marmino, predeceased).

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 44 years, Paul Duffy; her parents, Steve and Mary Marmino; her sisters, Antoinette (Toni) Marmino and Marlene Ricci; and her brother, Jim Marmino.

Peggy was a devout and active member of the North Bay community. As a life long parishioner of the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption, she served as a President of the CWL and generously gave her time as an usher, a member of the Funeral Honor Guard, and a volunteer for countless bazaars and teas. At the age of 78, she started playing the clarinet for the “JOY Band” and “Second Wind,” participating enthusiastically in concerts and events until recent years.

She was also a valued member of North Bay Birthright, the Widows’ Support Group, and was an avid Bridge player.

Peggy’s devotion and love for her family, friends, and all those in need was unwavering. Her warm smile and joyful spirit touched many lives, finding light even in life’s most difficult moments.

Friends may call at Martyn Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The funeral mass will be held at the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption on Saturday at 10:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Pro-Cathedral Building Fund.
