Eight people charged with stunt driving by North Bay OPP

North Bay OPP laid eight stunt driving charges and towed eight vehicles over the Thanksgiving long weekend (Oct. 11-13).

Ontario Provincial Police say speeds ranged from 50 to 65 km/h over the posted speed limits.

One included a driver being clocked going 111 km/h in a 60 zone on Alderdale Road in Chisholm with another at 155 km/h in a 90 zone on Highway 17 in Papineau-Cameron.

Three of the drivers handed 30-day roadside licence suspensions are from our area while the other five are from Southern and Eastern Ontario.
