Emergency Response Team Conducting Training

The North Bay Police Service is advising the public that there will be Emergency Response Team (ERT) training on January 29 and 30 at various locations throughout the city.
Do not be alarmed if you see an enhanced police presence in areas of North Bay between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on January 29 and 30. Members of the North Bay Police Service’s Emergency Response Team will be conducting training exercises at E.W. Norman School and in other areas of the city. Members may be observed wearing tactical gear during training exercises. Drones will be deployed as part of the training.
Training is not expected to result in the closure of any streets or the disruption of daily activities for members of the public.
BACKGROUND
The North Bay Police Service’s Emergency Response Team utilizes specialized skills, tactics, and equipment to protect public safety and respond to unpredictable situations. Members of the North Bay Police Service ERT receive regular training to effectively respond to all manner of high-risk incidents.
