Emergency services painting nails pink with annual fundraiser

City police and local emergency services are helping raise funds for the CIBC Run for the Cure again this year.

Their annual fundraiser sees area community services compete against each other as they raise money for breast cancer research and awareness.

“To raise the stakes and help bring in more money for a good cause, the leadership of the services that do not raise the most funds have their nails painted pink,” states a release.

More than $17,500 has been raised through the initiative in the past three years.

The 20th CIBC Run for the Cure in North Bay takes place on Sunday, Oct. 6.
