Encouraging Entrepreneurs to Apply for Support

Encouraging Entrepreneurs to Apply for Support

By Richard Coffin

It may be the middle of winter, but young entrepreneurs in the area are being encouraged to think about their summer plans.

The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound is now accepting applications for the Summer Company Program.

Individuals aged 15 to 29 have the chance to receive up to $3,000 in funding to start and run a summer business.

There’s also training and mentorship opportunities.

Meantime, applications are also being accepted for the business centre’s Starter Company Plus program.

Officials say the comprehensive entrepreneurship development program is designed for adults launching a new business or expanding an existing one.

Among other things, those taking part can earn the potential to pitch for $5,000 in grant funding.
