EVANS, Valerie (nee Vezina)
On Sunday July 26th, 2026, Valerie Evans (nee Vezina) of North Bay, Ontario peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of her family at Nipissing Manor (Corbeil) at the age of 73 years.
Valerie was the beloved wife of the late Dave Evans.
Valerie is predeceased by her parents Armand Vezina and Stella Vezina (nee Miller) and her late brother Brian Vezina (Joan), her late Uncle Rene Vezina (Betty), her late Uncle Raymond Vezina, her late cousin, Paulette Vezina, her late cousin Peter Vezina (Paulette).
She will be lovingly remembered by her niece Belinda Laird (Steven) and her children Bree-Anna and Flora Laird and her nephew Michael Vezina.
As well as Valerie’s cousins, Cecile Turnbull (Bill), Annette Store (Joe), Lorene Hill (Jim), Michal Vezina and many cherished friends who will feel her loss terribly.
Valerie was a great baker who made the best lemon meringue pie. She loved to crochet socks, mitts and throws. Valerie could be found volunteering weekly at The North Bay Blue Sky Bingo. In retirement, after many years in administration for The North Bay Police Department and Nipissing University, she enjoyed volunteering at The North Bay Branch -Canadian Red Cross. She gave her time and help freely. Valerie was a very strong woman and a hard worker.
As per Valerie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. If desired, donations to The North Bay Regional Hospital Centre Foundation or Nipissing Manor would be gratefully acknowledged by her family.
