Eveline (Evey) Angela Point (nee Dégagne)

 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eveline Point (nee Dégagne). She passed peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice, January 2nd, 2024, at the age of 82. 

 Even in the face of lung cancer, she stayed strong and never let go of what meant the most to her.

 Precious mother of Richard Point, Denise (Terry Fownes) Point, and Deborah Point. Wife of Roger (predeceased).  Beloved Mémère, who will be missed by her grandchildren, Samantha (Chris) Bissonette, Shane Point, Chad Boudreau, Sara (Dan) Ross, Jesse Point, Cody (Sarah) Fownes, Dustin (Taylor) Point, Justin (Jessica) Wigelius, as well as her great-grandchildren, Kayden, Aurora, Karsyn, Sophya, Landon, Rylan, Abigail, Loretta, Arianna, Edyson and Miles. 

 She will be dearly missed by friends and family, including her brothers Euguene (predeceased) (Beth), Louis (Lucille), Ray (Laurette), Paddy (Lorraine) and sisters Jeannine Lafrenière (Fern), Aline Chatelain (Rolly-predeceased) and many nieces and nephews.

 She will be remembered as someone who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, whether it be fishing, camping, playing horseshoes, baseball, golf or curling.  She was game for pretty much anything and always had fun, especially if she was winning!

 She was very affectionate, a beautiful soul inside and out, full of energy and always fun to be around.

 We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Jinnah, all the Nurses, PSW’s, all the staff members and volunteers at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice for your compassionate care you gave our mother. The love you gave our “Queen” will never be forgotten.  She was in haven before heaven.  Thank you, Earth Angels, we love all of you.

 A Celebration of life will be held later.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice in memory of Eveline Point will be gratefully acknowledged.
