Fall Community-Wide Clean-up coming September 21

Clean, Green, Beautiful North Bay (CGB) is inviting everyone to take part in their Fall Community-Wide Clean-up on September 21.  

A launch event is being held Monday, Sep. 5 at 10:30 am at Memorial Gardens, where you can pick up bags.  It’s been a busy year of cleaning up the community, with CGB saying over 3,300 bags have been distributed.  

Officials say the national Communities in Bloom judges praised the city’s cleanliness during their visit in late July, noting the exceptional community involvement in litter-pick up efforts. 

“We are deeply grateful to the businesses and organizations that have sponsored our 2024 CGB bags, making this year’s community-wide cleanups possible,” said Hariett Madigan, CGB Chair. “It’s truly inspiring to see our community come together, united in service to our neighbors and environment.”  

From parks, streets or a shoreline, CGB says residents can select any area in North Bay they feel passionate about cleaning up on September 21.
