Family First Celebrates 30 Years

By Richard Coffin

Area residents will be able to check out fireworks at a couple of upcoming events.

Council approved the pyrotechnic displays during Tuesday’s meeting.

Next Thursday (Dec. 19), Canadore’s display is part of the college’s Christmas celebration, at the College Drive Campus.

There will also be fireworks to ring in the New Year at the Families First celebration at Thomson Park on Dec. 31.

It’s the 30th anniversary event.

There will also be skating, reptile and magic shows, North Bay’s 100th anniversary photo booth, colouring contests, and more.
