Fatal crash claims life of city resident
A 26-year-old person from North Bay has been identified as the victim in a fatal collision on Highway 17 in Sudbury.
Provincial police say the head-on collision happened just before 6:30 pm on Wednesday.
The OPP says the driver of a passenger vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the driver of a commercial vehicle was not injured.
Police say the highway was closed in both directions for just over eight hours.
The investigation continues.
