Fedeli Acclaimed

Nipissing’s MPP will be seeking a fifth term at Queen’s Park.   

The Ontario PC Party has announced Vic Fedeli has been acclaimed as the party’s candidate for Nipissing in the next election. 

First elected in 2011, officials say Fedeli has been a tireless advocate for the riding and the north, bringing critical investments, including the return of the Northlander rail service, funding to expand emergency services and local healthcare, and more 

“Vic has proven himself to be an exceptional representative for Nipissing,” says Doug Ford, Leader of the Ontario PC Party. “His commitment to job creation, cutting costs for families, and advancing vital infrastructure has truly transformed the region.” 

Fedeli says representing the riding has been one of the greatest honours of his life.  

“Together, we have made real progress – creating jobs, investing in healthcare, and supporting the families who make our community vibrant,” he says. “Looking ahead, I am committed to continuing this work to ensure Nipissing remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.” 

Fedeli has been the chair of cabinet since June 2018 and Ontario’s Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade since June 2019.  

Amid speculation the Premier may call an early election, the 44th Ontario general election is tentatively scheduled to be held on June 4, 2026.
