Federal offender apprehended in North Bay
The province’s Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad says a Federal Offender who went unlawfully at large last September has been taken into custody in North Bay.
Officials say James Williamson was located and arrested by the OPP.
They say he was serving a more than two-and-a-half-year sentence for sexual interference with a person under 16, exposure to a person under 16 and failing to attend court.
“The Provincial R.O.P.E. Squad would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance in this investigation,” states a release.
A Canada-wide warrant was issued last September.
