Filming Project to Use Simulated Gunfire
The North Bay Police Service (NBPS) and the City of North Bay are advising residents of a film production taking place on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 515 Birchs Rd.
During filming, members of the public may hear loud sounds similar to gunfire and may see actors in tactical costumes carrying firearms.
The production will be using firearms loaded with blank ammunition. Blank ammunition produces a loud gunshot sound and muzzle flash for filming purposes but does not fire a projectile. Approximately 75 rounds will be used over multiple takes. The simulated gunfire will be approximately 25% the volume of real gunfire.
NBPS has been informed of the filming and the use of simulated gunfire, and appropriate safety measures will be in place throughout the production.
