Foraco International SA, which has its Canadian head office in North Bay, is being honoured by the Australian Drilling Industry Association.  

The global drilling services provider won the “Innovation of the Year” award for their new NGBF 800 Rotary drill rig which has recently been deployed in Western Australia. 

Tim Bremner, CEO says they’re proud to receive the honour for the small footprint, remotely operated and high-capacity rotary drilling platform.  

“World class global miners have embraced the enhancements in safety, productivity, efficiency and sustainability this rig suite brings to their operations and is the first of many packages destined for Australia,” Bremner says. “We look forward to deployment of additional rigs in the coming months and introducing this impressive drilling system to other regions of the Foraco world.” 

According to its website, Foraco International SA is the third largest global mineral driller and provides innovative solutions for mining and water projects across 22 countries and five continents.   

The publicly traded company is based out of Marseille, France.
