Four dead after downtown fire in New Liskeard

Four people are dead after a structure fire in downtown New Liskeard.

At around 5:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, Temiskaming OPP and the local fire department responded to the blaze.

The investigation is on-going with assistance from the Office of the Fire Marshal, Chief Coroner and the province's forensic pathology services.

Police say there is no risk to the public.

Any person with information regarding this incident should immediately contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222- 8477 (TIPS), where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
