FRANCOEUR, Julie

FRANCOEUR, Julie

An Angel has opened her wings; Julie Francoeur, in her 53rd year passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

Born on July 23, 1973 to Dianne and Roger. Julie was a light in the lives of everyone who knew her. Known for her radiant smile and her love of various arts, dancing, and spending time with her family.

Julie was always at the core of family gatherings, giving her support in all things and all of our best stories stem from her enthusiasm and great sense of humour. Julie taught those around her the true meaning of patience, joy and love. Her family spent happy hours listening to music, colouring, the great outdoors, picnics, camping and travelling across Canada. She was known for her ability to make anyone smile with her infectious laugh. Julie’s life was a blessing and her memory a treasure.

Julie is survived by her devoted mother, her brothers, Joshua, and Jacob (Shan) and her sister Céline (Jeremy). Also loved by her nephews, nieces, 2 great nieces, 2 great nephews, uncles, and Aunt “Nooney”, as well as many cousins who cherished every moment with her. Julie was predeceased by her loving father. Julie’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Algonquin Nursing Home and to the Mattawa Hospital staff, Dr. L. Gushe and Dr. C. Redhead for their compassion, kindness and care team for Julie and also Linda Minor, Pastoral care, for her Vigil in her final days which brought comfort to Julie, and those who loved her.

Family and friends will be received at McGuinty Funeral Home on Friday, May 8th, 2026 between the hours of 6 - 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 9th, 2026 at 12 noon at the St Bernadette Church in Bonfield with a spring burial at the St Bernadette cemetery.
