Free Christmas Day events

Free Christmas Day events

The annual Christmas Day dinner is back at the Pro Cathedral parish hall tomorrow (Wed Dec. 25).

Officials say no one should spend Christmas Day alone or hungry.

They say their mission is to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere for people who would like to share a Christmas meal together.

A free sit-down dinner takes place in the parish hall from 11 am to 1 pm.

Take-out is available from 1:30 to 2 pm.

Meantime, the North Bay Elks Lodge Big Christmas event runs from 2 to 7 pm on Elks Lane on Dec. 25.

It’s free and for all ages.

“A lot of people, we went to Grandmas, after Santa Claus had come and gone, we got in the car and went to Grandmas and there were friends, family, cards, food and music,” says Shawn Kettner. “We’re just trying to give people that don’t have anything to do on Christmas Day a place to be and things to do.”

Several local musicians will be performing, there’s cards and video games, a magic show, food and more.
