Funding helps ‘energize’ safety and well-being

Three area initiatives that promote physical, emotional and psychological safety and well-being are receiving funding from Hydro One.

The utility is providing 28 municipalities, charities and Indigenous communities with $25,000 each from the ‘Energizing Life Community Fund’.

Money for the District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board is helping Paramedic Services purchase specialized off-road response vehicles and equipment.

Nipissing First Nation is receiving funding to revitalize the Beaucage Park Language Trail, enhancing wellbeing, community pride and cultural connections.

Funding for the Village of Burk’s Falls is helping create the Rural Youth Group Drop-in Centre, establishing a safe space for youth to engage in physical activity, artistic self-expression, mentorship programs and more.

“Our 2025 recipients are powerful agents of local change, and we are excited to partner with them through our Energizing Life Community Fund,” says Bronwen Evans, Vice President, Sustainability, Communications and Marketing, Hydro One. “Congratulations to all the recipients and thank you for your dedication to building a better and brighter future.”

Officials add approximately 28 per cent of the 2025 Energizing Life Community Fund grants will benefit Indigenous communities and organizations.
