Funding to support ON THE EDGE Fringe Festival

By Richard Coffin

The ON THE EDGE Fringe Festival is returning in mid-August.

Vic Fedeli, MPP for Nipissing, announced $15,000 for the event, through the Ontario Arts Council (OAC) Theatre Projects Program.

“Our government understands the important role that the arts play in fostering dynamic and thriving communities across Ontario,” said MPP Vic Fedeli “This support will help Nipissing’s artists and arts organizations continue to make a positive impact on our economy, create good jobs and draw more visitors to our community.”

Kelsey Ruhl, Festival Director, says they’re grateful for the ongoing support from the Ontario Arts Council.

“With our provincial leaders’ support we are able to continue our efforts to enhance local arts and build a strong foundation for the arts in North Bay,” Ruhl says.

Details are still emerging, but the festival runs Aug. 6-10 with ten 10 Fringe shows, duality presentations, and more.
