GADD, Gloria Jeanne

Gloria Jeanne Gadd (nee Holenko) of North Bay, Ontario, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2024, at the age of 93, with her husband Don at her side.

Gloria was born in International Falls, MN, on February 14, 1931, to William and Mayme (Horgan) Holenko. She married the love of her life, Don Gadd, on May 22, 1954. They made their first home in Atikokan, Ontario, before moving to North Bay in 1979.

She is survived by her husband, Don; her children Jocelyn Curtis of British Columbia, Brian (Brenda) of Minnesota and Brenda of Iowa; grandchildren Philip and Andrew Curtis, and Jonathan Gadd, and five great-grandchildren. Gloria was predeceased by her parents, her brother Paul Holenko, her sister Alice Lyng and grandson Matthew Curtis.

Gloria was a devoted wife and mother with many creative talents in cross stitching, baking, sewing, and various arts and crafts. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church for 45 years and enjoyed singing in the church choir and with the North Bay Baytones.

Family gathered to remember Gloria’s life, following cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Redeemer Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer Society. Gloria’s family would like to thank her home caregivers, medical professionals, and staff at Cassellholme for their compassionate care.
