Gains in Local Job Postings
The Labour Market Group reports 390 job postings in December in Nipissing District.
It’s up slightly (0.8%) month-over-month and over 6% year-over-year. “While minor, this is a positive change from the past four months where-in there was a decrease in month-over-month numbers due to seasonal changes,” states the jobs report.
The top five employers posting jobs include:
- North Bay Regional Health Centre
- Near North District School Board
- Canadore College
- Nipissing University
- Closing the Gap Healthcare
Health Care & Social Assistance was the top hiring industry, followed by Educational Services.
Retail Trade rounds out the top three.
