George Clarke

George Clarke

Passed away suddenly at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at the age of 67 years. Beloved husband of Anna-Marie (Ingarra) Clarke. Dear brother-in-law of Jennifer Botelho (Joe), Louise Rocchietti-Valle (Robert), and Linda-Jo Ingarra. Cherished uncle to Bianca Iannuzzi (Nick), Madison Pastyr (Mike) and Jason Botelho (Natalia) and treasured Great-uncle to Luca, Alessandro, and Aurora. He will be dearly missed by his dog Mia and good friend Bill Smythe amongst many other close friends, neighbours, previous co-Workers and community members.

George has touched all of our lives through his sense of humour, with his infectious laugh and his generous nature. One of a kind and a straight shooter He had a spot for each and every one of us in his heart.

George was a man of many talents. In his younger years, George moved everybody to the groove and had a serious side hustle as a DJ. If he wasn’t making people laugh or dance then he was working professionally in the Correctional service Field, starting at the Toronto East Detention Centre, then on to the Barrie jail, Hillsdale Facility and finally transferred to North Bay Jail. He finished his career in IT, Offender Management. This brought him to the great master technical guy that he had become and enjoyed so much. If there was a new technical gadget then George was sure to own it!

George had also volunteered as a town fire fighter and had a blackbelt in martial arts.

George’s biggest passion was enjoying the outdoors, fishing, camping, travelling, ATV and motorcycle riding (he got his first Harley this year).

He was an accomplished woodworker/cabinet maker. Creating from his own milled wood sometimes.

George was a committed pet owner.

His love for his wife was immense and unmeasurable and in the last 2 years of his life he was a committed caregiver. He truly was a loving and dutiful husband and shared many years married to Anna Marie Clarke.

At George's request there will be  no service and his wife and family will hold a celebration of his life in the Spring time. All are invited to pay their respects.

Cremation has taken place. Online condolences can be made at www.mcguintyfuneralhome.com
