Getting ready for the Coldest Night of the Year
The Coldest Night of the Year fundraising walk is nearly here.
On Saturday, Feb. 28, the community is getting together to raise funds for The Gathering Place.
At last check, 155 walkers and 36 teams are registered.
The event, which includes 2.5 km and 5 km walks, starts and ends at OUTLoud North Bay on Delaware Avenue.
Following the 2.5 km event, there will be live music and chili.
The fundraising goal is $57,000.
Officials with The Gathering Place say every dollar raised goes directly toward their operations, helping them continue to feed the North Bay community with dignity.
