Gilles Myre
March 4, 1958 ~ February 8, 2025 (age 66)
Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 8th, 2025, at the age of 66 years.
He is survived by his loving daughter Erica (Brandon). Sisters Denise Brosseau (Ralph), Gisele Berube (Paul), and brother Marcel Myre (Shelley). He is predeceased by his parents Yvonne Myre (Boudrias), Armand Myre and sister Claire Pellerin. Missed by Renee Lefebvre Kelly (Shawn), Kristiane Eckersley (Dave), Brendan Berube, Jordan Berube (Brittany), Justin Berube, Cody Myre (Patricia), Kaylie Myre (Jeremy), Julie Grady (Michael), and Julian Pellerin (Nathalie). He will be missed by many great nieces and nephews.
Gilles was an employee at Tembec (RYAM) where he retired after 30 plus years. Gilles enjoyed spending time with family, listening to music, riding, skiing, sledding, fishing and having fun. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at North Bay Regional Health Centre.
Thank you to Dr. Mah as well as Dr. Leckie for your extraordinary compassion and care given to Gilles. Also, a big thank you to his best friend Guy Gervais and friends who were by his side during this difficult time.
As per Gilles wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of will be announced in the summer for family and friends. Interment will take place in Temiscaming and Hunter’s Point (Quebec).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
