Golf tournament raises $9,100 for Yes Training Trust Fund

It was a day on the links in support of ‘people and possibilities'.
Yes Employment Services held a fundraising golf tournament on Sept. 11 and raised $9,100 for the Yes Training Trust Fund.
Officials say the fund provides people with access to training and resources to enhance their skills and gain employment.
“For 21 years, this tournament has been about more than just golf, it’s been about people and possibilities,” says Jordie Leggett, Tournament Chair/Director of Operations, Yes Employment Services (Nipissing). “One year, someone might receive funds for the tools, workboots, or specialized clothing they need to start a trade, another year, someone may receive support for training or transportation fees covered to help them get to their new place of employment.”
LeeAnne Maille, Chief Executive Officer says each year, the tournament reminds her of the incredible things that happen when a community rallies together.
“When barriers are removed and people are given the tools to succeed, we unlock potential that strengthens the entire workforce,” says Maille. “The Yes Training Trust Fund reflects our long-term vision of a labour market where opportunity is defined by ability and determination, not by circumstance.”
