Heat Warning For North Bay and Area

A heat event will persist through today.

Daytime highs are expected to be near 29 degrees Celsius with humidex values of up to 36. There will be little relief at night as minimum temperatures of 18 degrees Celsius are expected.

A cooler airmass will arrive on Monday.

Extreme heat can affect everyone’s health. Drink plenty of water regularly, even before you feel thirsty to decrease your risk of dehydration. Thirst is not a good indicator of dehydration.

Reduce your heat risk. Schedule outdoor activities during the coolest parts of the day.

Never leave people, particularly children, or pets inside a parked vehicle.
