Heritage Railway and Carousel season getting closer

Heritage Railway and Carousel season getting closer

By Richard Coffin

Those interested in learning about volunteer opportunities with the Heritage Railway and Carousel Company can find out more this weekend.

They’re holding an open house for volunteers on Saturday, April 19, from noon to 3pm at the waterfront attraction’s souvenir booth and caboose.

Officials say this is a good way for high school students to obtain their forty hours needed to graduate.

Last year was their thirtieth anniversary.

The carousel and mini-train typically open for weekends for Mother’s Day, then seven days a week at the end of June.
