Highway 11 in Callander reopens, driver charged

A North Bay resident is facing careless and impaired driving charges after a crash closed Highway 11 this morning. The OPP says officers responded to a crash in Callander around 3:45 a.m. involving an automobile and a tractor trailer unit.

The OPP says the driver of the vehicle, who received minor injuries, was arrested for impaired driving and transported to the OPP detachment for further testing. The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver's License Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The 37-year-old is scheduled to appear at the North Bay Courthouse in October.
