Hit and Run collision involving an ATV
An arrest has been made following a hit-and-run collision involving an ATV in Mattawa.
On April 3, an ATV was reportedly travelling at high speed through a parking lot on Turcotte Park Road when it struck the side of another vehicle. The ATV driver was ejected but got back on the vehicle and fled the scene without providing any information.
Following an investigation, North Bay OPP located the involved driver on April 9.
After a brief foot pursuit, a 33-year-old from Mattawa was arrested and charged with:
Fail to stop after accident
Obstruct peace officer
Careless driving
Drive off-road vehicle – no insurance
