Home Invasion with Weapons in North Bay

Police are asking for the public for information to assist in identifying the third, female suspect.

On May 25th, a male and two females attended a Dane Street address in a vehicle.  One of the females remained in the vehicle, while the male and an unknown female attended the residence and confronted an individual inside.  As a result, 2 arrests were made and several charges laid.

On the 25th of May, at around 12:10 pm, North Bay Police Service patrol officers were called to attend a Dane Street address in North Bay, in regards to a male and a female that had attended a residence, kicked in the door, then threatened and attempted to assault the victim.  The victim was able to escape to another part of the home and called police.  The two accused individuals, along with the third, unidentified individual, left the scene in a vehicle prior to police arrival. 

Officers from the Patrol Section and the Criminal Investigations Section worked together to investigate the incident, and as a result two of the accused parties were later arrested.  The third suspect (female) is still unidentified, and the Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate.

The two accused individuals in this matter are;

Kyle D’AMOUR-CARUTHERS, male, 20-years-old, of North Bay, who is charged with;

·        One count of Break and Enter with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence

·        One count of Utter Threats

·        One count of Possession of a Prohibited Weapon

·        One count of Assault with a Weapon

·        One count of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking

·        One count of Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000

·        Two counts of Breach of Probation

Raven LAVIGNE, female, 21-years-old of North Bay, who is charged with;

·        One count of Accessory After the Fact

·        One count of Break and Enter with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence

·        One count of Possession of a Prohibited Weapon

·        One count of Assault with a Weapon

·        One count of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking

Accused D’Amour-Caruthers was held for a bail hearing, and accused Lavigne was released on an Undertaking with a future court date.
