Peacefully with family by his side at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice Sunday, August 30th, 2026 in his 91st year.
Kong Mong Hong Ken was the beloved husband of the late Ngan Kou Rose Hong. Loving father of Raymond Hong of North Bay, Linda Hong of Toronto, Owen Hong, Ben Hong (Ylise Dobson) both of North Bay and France Todd (Chris) of Ottawa. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Jade and Colby. Also missed by extended family Cameron (Kayla, Ivy and Nora), Cassie (Ryley), Lexy (Rob) and Emma (Will) and Kate the dog.
For 29 years Ken and Rose owned and operated the China Town Take-Out Restaurant on Cassells Street, retiring in 2005.
A private family service will be held at the Martyn Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Garcia and Dr. Jaclyn Wallace and the GEM nurses at NBRHC and the team at Nipissing Serenity Hospice for the compassionate care, kindness, and support they provided. Their dedication, gentle presence, and unwavering care brought comfort and dignity during such a difficult time.
The family will always be deeply grateful for the difference they made.
