Humane Society benefiting from Smile Cookie campaign

Tim Hortons Smile Cookies return later this month, and the local proceeds are supporting the North Bay and District Humane Society.

Across Canada, Smile Cookies will be available from April 28-May 4.

Officials say funds raised in North Bay this year will help pay for housing, veterinary care, food, medicine, vaccines and more for the nearly one thousand pets who call the shelter home annually.

“Every year, our shelter takes in more than 1,500 animals,” says Liam Cullin, Executive Director for the Humane Society. “We are so grateful that Tims Smile Cookies can help us deliver critical veterinary and social care to vulnerable animals so they can find loving forever homes.”

Smile Cookies are available for pre-order online at www.nbdhs.ca/smilecookies.

Orders of 6 dozen or more are eligible for free delivery in North Bay.

Around the area, the Smile Cookie Campaign is supporting Community Living Mattawa, Community Living West Nipissing with proceeds in Burk’s Falls supporting Land of Lakes Public School.
