37 teams from across Northeastern Ontario are in North Bay for the regional ringette championship.

The West Ferris Ringette Association is hosting hundreds of athletes across eight divisions from U8 to 18 and older.

Officials say it’s going to be an unforgettable weekend full of fierce competition and local pride.

“We are beyond excited to host the Northeast Ringette Regional Championships in North Bay,” says Alex Parker, Tournament Chair. “This tournament marks the end of an amazing season for so many teams, and as the birthplace of ringette, it’s extra special for our community. We look forward to a weekend of incredible competition and celebration of the sport with over 600 participants from around the region.”

Games are being played at Pete Palangio and West Ferris arenas from Friday through Sunday.

Teams from North Bay, Greater Sudbury, Walden, Sault Ste. Marie, Iroquois Falls, and Timmins are competing.
