Increased Police presence due to ERT training

Increased Police presence due to ERT training

By Richard Coffin

The city police Emergency Response Team is training at various locations around the city this week.

That has the North Bay Police Service advising the public they should not be alarmed if they see an increased police presence in different areas of North Bay.

The training runs through Friday and includes ERT members from Peel Regional Police Service.

North Bay Police say the training will not result in the closure of any streets or the disruption of daily activities for members of the public, and signs will be posted to indicate the training locations.

Police say Emergency Response Team utilizes specialized skills, tactics, and equipment to protect public safety and respond to unpredictable and high-risk situations.
