International distinction for Churchill’s in North Bay

It’s a first for North Bay.
Churchill’s Fine Dining and its 5000+ wine list has received a 2025 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence.
Officials says being the first North Bay restaurant to be recognized with the international distinction is a testament to both the evolution of the city’s culinary scene and the ambition behind the Churchill’s name.
“This award is more than a personal achievement; it’s a proud moment for our city,” says Jimmy Kolios, Churchill’s owner. “To bring this level of recognition home during North Bay’s centennial is something I’ll never forget.”
Churchill’s joins the ranks of just over 3,800 restaurants worldwide recognized for their exceptional wine programs and dedication to pairing excellence.
The restaurant says with a cellar boasting over 5,000 wines from around the world, Churchill’s has quietly built a wine program that now stands shoulder to shoulder with establishments in Toronto, Vancouver, New York, and Paris.
