Jeannine Dorval

1941 – 2026

 It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jeannine Dorval announces her peaceful passing on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the Mattawa General Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family. 

 Jeannine was the beloved and devoted wife of Paul for 67 wonderful years. Her greatest joy in life was her family, to whom she gave her unwavering love and devotion.

 She was the proud and loving mother of Denise (Gerald), Nicole, Richard (Carole), and Hélène (Neil). Cherished Grandma to seven grandchildren, treasured great-grandmother to twelve, and proud great-great-grandmother of one. Jeannine’s legacy of love will continue through the many generations she nurtured.

 She is lovingly remembered by her brother Michel (Lila) and her sister Carole (Charles). She will also be deeply missed by her many in-laws, nieces, and nephews, with whom she shared a close and special bond.

 Jeannine was predeceased by her sisters, Sister Denise Lachapelle and Marie-Paul Ménard (Gérald), as well as by her parents, Émile and Jeanne.

 Jeannine enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing crib with her family. She will be remembered for her devotion, her warmth, and the love she so generously gave to those around her.

 Family will be receiving friends at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Rd, on Friday, April 24, 2026 from 11 until 1 pm with her celebration of life to follow.

 Donations in her memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the Algonquin Nursing Home.
