JODOUIN, Monique

Loving wife of 40 years to Jack Edwards of Pembroke. Caring and devoted mother to John (Melanie) Edwards of Foresters Falls, Chanelle (Murray) Watchorn of Pembroke, Lisa Edwards (Jim Barkey) of Renfrew, and Vickie of Pembroke. Cherished Nanny to 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Monique leaves behind her brothers Barry (Carole) Jodouin of Mattawa, Tuppy (Jeanne-D'Arc) Jodouin of Mattawa and her sisters Teri (Vern) Williams of Mattawa and Debbie (Percy) Robillard of Norway Bay as well as many nieces and nephews who adored her. Monique is predeceased by her granddaughter Sophie, two miscarried grandbabies (John and Melanie), as well as her parents Joffre and Annette Jodouin.
Monique passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love and care of her family, after a short but fierce battle with cancer.
Monique will be remembered for her loving smile and generous spirit.
A special thank you to nurse Carrie of Bayshore Home Health who provided the most compassionate care not only to Monique, but the entire family. Carrie helped ensure that Monique maintained her autonomy for as long as possible. A special thank you also goes out to Monique’s family doctor, Dr. Heather Castillo as well as her Nephrologist, Dr. Vigil.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Ste-Anne’s Catholic Church, Mattawa, Ontario, on Saturday, March 29th, at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
