It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Raymond at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice on Monday March 3rd, 2025 at the age of 74.
Knowing Ray was like experiencing the constellations in the sky. When we look up at the night sky, at all those twinkling constellations, what we’re really looking at is light. Light produced by stars that have travelled millions of light years to dot our skies, every night. Some of those stars will have come and gone by the time we see their radiance in the sky, but what a privilege it was to stand in this moment in time, witnessing it.
It was a lucky moment in time for his family and friends to have witnessed and been a part of Ray’s extraordinary life, to bid his soul farewell on this new journey. To have known his witty humour, his strength and resilience, his boundless kindness.
Cherished father of Natasha (Sean Pickford-deceased), Brianne, Shane (Melyssa Ferreira) and Chanele (Chad Galipeau). Loving grandfather of Mackenzie and Quenten Pickford, Rowyn Twigg, Olivia Rochefort, Raven Jolicoeur, Avery and Adele Galipeau. He will be greatly missed by his many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. Family receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd on Saturday March 22nd, 2025 between 2 and 4:30pm. There will be no service to follow.
