In Loving Memory of Karen Forneri
Karen Forneri passed away peacefully surrounded by love on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 12:10 a.m. at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, at the age of 70.
Born on Christmas Day in 1955, Karen brought warmth and joy to everyone who knew her. She found simple, profound happiness in life's quiet moments—whether she was sitting comfortably in her truck at Tim Hortons with a hot coffee, watching the local deer, or casting a line off the North Bay dock. Her love for the outdoors and the everyday comforts of her hometown will always be fondly remembered by those who loved her.
Karen was predeceased by her parents, her daughter Anne Forneri, and her brothers Gerald Forneri and Donald Forneri.
She is remembered by her surviving siblings: James, Joanne, Ruth, Bryan, and Bill Forneri, and many nieces and nephews along with her deeply loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Karen’s legacy lives on through her cherished children and their partners: Terrie Forneri, Jason Boucher (Lisa), and Amanda Boucher (Brandon)—who were proudly by her side during her final moments.
Her family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace, and free of her suffering, leaving behind a lifetime of fond memories, quiet morning coffee and endless love.
As per her wishes there will be no visitation or service. Online condolences can be made at www.hillsidefuneral.ca
In keeping with Karen’s generous spirit, memorial donations to the North Bay Food Bank would be greatly appreciated. Those wishing to honor her memory are also invited to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee at Tim Hortons or by the North Bay waterfront, taking a moment to reflect on the simple pleasures that brought her so much happiness.
